One New COVID-19 Case in Rural Areas, 134 Across Alberta

One new case of COVID-19 is being discovered in the rural areas.

The province announced on Friday 134 new cases across Alberta.

This raises the provincial total to 11,430 with 1,125 currently active.

The rural areas also saw an additional recovery which keeps the active total at five.

Fort McMurray didn’t see any new changes over the past 24 hours, keeping the total of active cases in the community at 11.

Across the RMWB, 113 individuals – 60 in Fort McMurray and 53 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 10,097 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 88 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, three more people have died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 208.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
