One New COVID-19 Case in Fort McMurray, 56 New Cases Across Province

One new case of COVID-19 is being discovered in Fort McMurray.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Thursday 56 new cases across the province.

This raises the provincial total to 11,296 with 1,107 currently active.

Fort McMurray also saw an additional recovery which keeps the active total in the community at 11.

The rural areas saw no changes over the past 24-hours, keeping the total of active cases at five.

Across the RMWB, 112 individuals – 60 in Fort McMurray and 52 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 9,984 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 88 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, two more people have died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 205.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
