Six New COVID-19 Cases in RMWB

Wood Buffalo is seeing six more cases of COVID-19 over the past 24-hours.

The province announced on Wednesday 94 new cases of the virus.

This raises the provincial total to 11,240 with 1,146 currently active.

Fort McMurray saw three new cases, while one more individual has recovered. This puts the active total at 11 in the community.

The rural areas added three new cases, however, three more people have since recovered. This keeps the active total at five.

Across the RMWB, 111 individuals – 59 in Fort McMurray and 52 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 9,891 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 87 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, two more people have died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 203.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
