Keyano Receiving Funds To Create Virtual Activity Space For Students

Keyano College is receiving funds to help students who plan to continue their education virtually.

The Wood Buffalo Community Foundation is providing the post-secondary school $17,000 which will be used to create a virtual gathering space.

The area will focus on different activities, such as trivia and music, where students can connect with each other.

“The College wants to ensure its students have a place to connect while virtual learning continues for the Fall 2020 semester,” read a statement from Keyano.

Two student peer facilitators will also use the virtual infrastructure to moderate events while receiving suicide prevention, safe-space, and diversity training.
