Flair Airlines Starting New Routes To Vancouver and Toronto From Fort McMurray Intl Airport

You can once again fly directly to Vancouver from Fort McMurray.

Flair Airlines announced on Thursday 40 new routes across the country including four leaving and landing at the Fort McMurray International Airport.

Along with traveling between Wood Buffalo and Vancouver, the airline is also adding trips to and from Toronto.

“The new routes will provide excellent options for visitors to come to Fort McMurray to access and enjoy some of the region’s tourism and business offerings,” said RJ Steenstra, President & CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority.

The local flights will be available Wednesdays and Saturdays starting on August 26.

“Many of these areas are experiencing reduced accessibility, and we know that Canadians need affordable airfares now more than ever,” added Jim Scott, Flair CEO. “We are committed to supporting these communities across the country as they safely reopen to travel.”

Those who choose to fly during the COVID-19 pandemic will be required to complete a visual mask check, answer a health check questionnaire, and have their temperature taken prior to boarding the aircraft.

Flair is now the third Canadian airline flying consistently through the YMM Airport – following Westjet and Air Canada.
