One More COVID-19 Case in Rural Areas, No Changes in Fort McMurray

One more person has contracted COVID-19 in the rural areas.

The province announced on Wednesday 133 new cases across Alberta. This raises the provincial total to 9,861 with 1,251 active cases.

The new case outside of Fort McMurray puts the active total at four.

There continue to be no active cases in the community according to the provincial map.

Across the RMWB, 96 individuals – 56 in Fort McMurray and 40 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 8,436 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents just under 86 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, two more people have died from COVID-19 in the province – raising the death toll to 174.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
