No Active COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, Just One in Rural Areas

There are no active cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray.

The province announced 368 new cases over the past three days. This raises the provincial total to 9,587 with 1,109 currently active.

Fort McMurray saw an additional recovery, while, according to the map, there were four more recoveries in the rural areas.

One case remains active outside of the urban service area.

Across the RMWB, 97 individuals – 56 in Fort McMurray and 41 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 8,308 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 86 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, three more people have died from COVID-19 in the province – raising the death toll to 170.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
