Three COVID-19 Recoveries in Rural Areas, Only Three Active Cases in Wood Buffalo

No new cases of COVID-19 are popping up in the RMWB.

The province announced on Wednesday 82 cases across the Alberta. This raises the provincial total to 8,994 with 704 currently active.

Three individuals in the rural areas have recovered, lowering the active total to two.

There were no new changes in Fort McMurray which keeps the active total in the community at one.

Across the RMWB, 92 individuals – 55 in Fort McMurray and 37 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

One previous reported recovery case in Fort McMurray has also been removed from the province’s case map.

The 92 local cases among the 8,127 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 90 per cent of the reported cases.

Meanwhile, there have been no additional deaths from COVID-19 in the province over the past 24 hours – keeping the death toll to 163.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
