A two-vehicle collision in Sturgeon County has claimed the life of a 50-year-old Fort McMurray man.

On July 8, Morinville RCMP received reports of a collision on Highway 28.

After arriving, they found the man in medical distress who later died at the scene.

The Mounties note a car, in which the man was driving, was traveling eastbound on Highway 28 when it collided with a semi-truck going westbound.

The condition of the truck driver is currently unknown.

The RCMP continue to investigate the collision.

The name of the individual and further details of the crash aren’t being released.
