Three New COVID-19 Cases in Wood Buffalo, 10 Additional Recoveries

Three new cases of COVID-19 are popping up in the RMWB.

The province announced on Wednesday 46 new cases in Alberta. This puts the provincial total at 8,482 with 608 currently active.

One of the new cases was in Fort McMurray, while the community saw five recoveries. This puts the active total at eight.

The other two cases were in the rural areas which also saw five recoveries – lowering the active total to 18.

The province has not specified where these cases are, however, every one is linked to known sources.

Across the RMWB, 68 individuals – 48 in Fort McMurray and 20 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 7,710 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents just under 91 per cent of the reported cases.

Meanwhile, one more person has died from COVID-19 in the province over the past day – raising the death toll to 158.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
