The public is getting a big say in how Alberta Culture Days will look like in the RMWB later this year.

The municipality is looking for individuals and organizations to help organize and host fun, family-friendly events that feature the region’s diverse culture.

“Registering early provides the Wood Buffalo Alberta Culture Days planning committee with a greater ability to prepare and plan for the coming year’s events,” said Jessica Barry, Community Strategies Coordinator.

“We are looking for local artists, performers, event hosts and venue operators to help us celebrate arts and culture in our region.”

Instead of happening over a couple days, events will be held throughout September.

These activities can take place online or in-person as long as all public health measures are followed.

Local event organizers must register by July 10th to be included in the provincial Alberta Culture Days grant program.
