Two New COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, Six Recoveries in Wood Buffalo

Two more cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Fort McMurray.

The province announced on Sunday 39 new cases across Alberta – putting the total at 7,996.

Fort McMurray also had one more recovery which puts the active total in the community at 18.

Five individuals have recovered in the rural areas, putting the active total down to seven.

The majority of active cases in the region are linked to one social gathering.

Across the RMWB, 43 individuals – 31 in Fort McMurray and 12 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 7,322 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 91 per cent of the reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were no new deaths from COVID-19 in the province over the past 24-hours – keeping the death toll at 154.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
