One New COVID-19 Case in Fort McMurray, Three Additional Recoveries

One more case of COVID-19 is being discovered in Fort McMurray.

The province announced on Friday 37 new cases across the province – putting the total at 7,888.

Fort McMurray also had three more recoveries which puts the active total in the community at 13.

One of these cases is in a continuing care facility. Senior residents are currently being tested for the virus.

Eleven cases remain active in the rural areas.

The majority of active cases in the region are linked to one social gathering.

Across the RMWB, 32 individuals – 29 in Fort McMurray and three in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 7,225 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 91 per cent of the reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were no new deaths from COVID-19 in the province over the past 24-hours – keeping the death toll at 154.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
