Large Debris Collection for Flood Affected Areas Ending Soon

The last day for large debris collection in flood effected areas is quickly approaching.

Friday, July 3rd will be the final day residents can put their large items on the curb and have them removed by the RMWB.

Residents are being reminded to call their insurance provider before disposing of fridges and freezers and that asbestos must be handled by an asbestos abatement specialist.

The debris will need to be separated in three piles for collection.

One pile will include appliances and scrap metal, the second, household hazardous waste and electronics and the third, furnishings and other waste.

If many smaller items need to be picked up – you can call the pulse line to have a bagster delivered to you home.

More information can be found on the RMWB’s website.
