Calgary Man Arrested in Fort McMurray After Drug Seizure in Parsons Creek

A 27-year-old Calgary man is being charged with drug trafficking after being arrested in Fort McMurray.

On June 18, ALERT’s Fort McMurray organized crime team executed a search warrant on a home in Parsons Creek.

There they seized 449 grams of crack cocaine and over $18,000.

Shortly after, they arrested Razwanullah Rahmani in downtown.

“This is a significant seizure for Fort McMurray,” said Insp. Sean Boser, ALERT Regional Teams. “ALERT is proud to work with its partner agencies to keep dangerous drugs like these off the streets of Alberta communities.”

He has since been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on August 25, 2020.
