The number of homes sold in May is seeing a drop year-over-year.

That’s according to the Fort McMurray REALTORS monthly report which notes 40 single-family detached homes were sold at an average price of $436,966.

This is compared to the 65 homes which were bought in 2019 at an average price of $508,848.

The 40 sales is up from the 13 that happened in April.

Meanwhile, there are 84 new listings – putting the inventory at 260.

“We are experiencing a late spring market and agents are working hard for their clients,” read the report. “Open Houses are being held with the new normal of following all AHS standards while showing properties.”

This includes buyers and agents being encouraged to wear a mask, use gloves, and use hand-sanitizer when touring a home.
