Canada, US Border to Remain Closed for Another Month

You won’t be able to visit the United States for at least another month.

Canada and the U.S. are working together to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Tuesday the border between the two countries would remain closed to non-essential travel until July 21.

Trudeau said this decision is to keep people on both sides safe.

The boarder has been closed too all non-essential travel since March 20.

Supply chains that deliver food, fuel, and medicine, and immediate family members of citizens or permanent residents are the only ones allowed to cross the border under the current restrictions.

According to Statistics Canada, in 2019, Canadians took nearly 44 million trips across the US boarder.
