One New COVID-19 Case in Fort McMurray

After 27 straight days without a case, one person living in Fort McMurray has contracted COVID-19.

In the province’s update Thursday, 29 new cases were announced across Alberta – putting the provincial total at 6,955.

This is the 23rd case of the virus in Fort McMurray, though only 2 of them are currently active.

Twenty-four individuals across the region, 21 in Fort McMurray and three in the rural areas, have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 6,160 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 88 per cent of the reported cases.

Two more people have passed away from the virus – putting Alberta’s death toll at 143.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
