Former Fort McMurray Oil Baron Liam Izyk is on his way to one of the best college teams in the United States.

After playing one season at the University of Alabama, he’s transferring to five-time National Champion Boston College.

In 32 games this past season, Izyk scored three goals and added eight assists for 11 points.

In 140 games over four years with the Oil Barons, he put up 27 goals and 71 assists for 98 points.

Izyk was also an Assistant Captain over his last two seasons with the MOB.

Boston College is coming off a shortened season which saw them finish first in their conference.

They also have three NHL First Round Picks on the team – forwards Alex Newhook and Matthew Boldy, as well as goaltender Spencer Knight.
