No New COVID-19 Cases in RMWB, Fort McMurray Reaches 25 Days Since Last Reported Case

There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray for a 25th straight day.

The province announced on Tuesday 22 new cases in Alberta – putting the total at 6,901.

Only one case remains active in the community, while all three who’ve contracted the virus in the rural areas have recovered.

In total, 24 individuals have recovered across the RMWB.

They are among the 6,048 who have recovered across the province. This represents over 87 per cent of the reported cases.

As for the oilsands outbreaks, all five in connection to Canadian Natural Resources’ Horizon site have recovered, while all but three of the 108 linked to Imperial Oil’s Kearl Lake site no longer have the virus.

Meanwhile, one more person has passed away from the virus – putting Alberta’s death toll at 139.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
