Snowbird Plane Crashes in Kamloops, B.C.

A Snowbird plane has crashed in British Columbia.

In a statement on social media, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds says one of its aircraft crashed on Sunday in the vicinity of Kamloops.

They note the priority at this time is determining the status of personnel and supporting emergency personnel. When appropriate, more information will be made available.

Based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the CF Snowbirds have been travelling across the country, making appearances above cities and towns for Operation Inspiration, saluting Canadians doing their part to slow the spread of COVID-19.

On Friday, the team flew over Fort McMurray.

The status of the pilot has not been officially released.
