Fort McMurray Man Killed in Car Accident Near Redwater

A 46-year-old Fort McMurray man has passed away after being in a car accident near Redwater.

On Wednesday, two vehicles collided on Highway 28 sending all six people involved to the hospital.

One vehicle was traveling northbound when it struck the other vehicle which was traveling southbound and had five individuals inside, including the man from Fort McMurray.

He passed away from his injuries after being transported to the hospital.

The other five individuals continue to be treated for serious non-life threatening injuries.

Redwater RCMP along with a RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate the collision, however, at this time no charges have been laid.
