No New Cases in Fort McMurray, Three Active in Community

There continues to be no new cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Monday 47 new cases across the province – none of which in the RMWB.

This puts the provincial total at 6,300.

The number of active cases in Fort McMurray remains at three, while 19 others have already recovered.

The only two reported cases in the rural areas have also recovered.

These 21 individuals are among the 4,659 in Alberta who no longer have the virus. This represents nearly 74 per cent of cases.

Meanwhile, two more individuals have passed away from COVID-19 – putting the death toll at 117.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
