Update: Evacuation Order Lifted For All of Draper

People living in Draper are allowed to return home.

The RMWB announced over the weekend that the entire area is no longer under an evacuation order.

The orders for the Lower Townsite and Waterways were lifted on Friday.

Draper residents should know most homes have not lost power, however, it’s possible electrical systems may have been compromised. If your power meter is shut off, call the Pulse Line at 780-743-7000 to schedule and inspection.

If you have standing water in your home or other electrical concerns, you are encouraged to contact ATCO Electric at 1-800-668-5506 immediately.

Propane tanks or fittings may have also been damaged. Inspections and reconnection of propane can be arranged through service providers.

There’s a high liklihood that spectic tanks and fields have been compromised. Any problems can be resolved through services providers.

Also, if you use a water cistern or well, visit the Alberta Health Services’ website before consuming.

More information about the flood can be found on the RMWB’s website.
