Over 50 Pets Rescued From Flood

Multiple pets are safe after being rescued from the flood.

Regional Emergency Services have conducted 51 animal rescues after some residents weren’t able to get to their homes before being evacuated.

They’ve also had to rescue over 200 individuals who didn’t follow the mandatory evacuation orders.

The rescued pets are currently being taken care of by Animal Control.

People who are concerned for the well-being of their pets can call Animal Control at 780-762-5858.

Those who are in need of pet supplies can also contact the Fort McMurray SPCA.
