No New COVID-19 Cases in Wood Buffalo, 16 Active Cases in Fort McMurray

There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Wood Buffalo.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Thursday 190 new cases across the province – raising the total to 5,355.

There’s currently 16 active cases in Fort McMurray, while there are none in the rural area.

There’s no additional information on these individuals.

Five people in Fort McMurray and two in the rural area have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 2,161 individuals who no longer have COVID-19.

Across the province, three more people have passed away from the virus – putting the death toll at 89. A previously reported COVID-19 death has been determined it’s not related to the virus.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
