The RMWB is now issuing a mandatory evacuation order for the entire downtown core.

The only exceptions are for the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre and Grayling Terrace.

Residents in need of support are being told to go to the registration centre which has been set up at the Casman Centre.

Evacuees who don’t need accommodations don’t need to report to the centre.

The municipality has already had to rescue over 200 residents who didn’t follow the orders previously announced on Sunday and Monday.

Buses are available to transport residents to the centre if needed.

Residents are being reminded to avoid walking through running water and to leave their vehicle if it stalls in rising water.
