One more person in Fort McMurray has contracted COVID-19.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Friday 297 new cases across the province – raising the total to 4,017.
The new local case means there are 10 active in Fort McMurray.
There has been a rise of six cases over the past four days.
There’s no additional information on these individuals.
Four others in the community and two in the rural area have already recovered from the virus.
Across the province, 1,397 individuals no longer have the virus.
Meanwhile, Hinshaw says four more individuals have passed away – raising the death toll at 72.
None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
