Two More COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, Nine Cases Currently Active In Community

Two more people in Fort McMurray have contracted COVID-19.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Thursday 319 new cases across the province – raising the total to 3,720.

The new local cases means there are nine active in Fort McMurray.

There’s no additional information on these individuals.

Four others in the community and two in the rural area have already recovered from the virus.

Across the province, 1,357 individuals no longer have the virus.

Meanwhile, the GoA says two more individuals have passed away – raising the death toll at 68.

Both individuals were from Brooks.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
