RCMP Encouraging Residents To Wear Red In Honour of Nova Scotia Shooting Victims

You’re being asked to wear red on Friday to honour the victims of the Nova Scotia shooting.

Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking local residents to take part as they remember Heidi Stevenson, a 23-year veteran with the Mounties.

She was one of the 22 who lost their lives this past weekend after multiple shootings across the province.

The RCMP adopted this tribute back in 2014 after the Moncton shooting which killed three officers and injured two others.

It began as a military movement to support troops in Afghanistan.

Residents are encouraged to post photos of them wearing red on social media.
