Three more people have died from COVID-19 in Alberta.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Thursday the additional deaths which raises the province’s total to 32.

Two of the deaths were in the Calgary zone, a woman in her 60’s and a woman in her 80’s, while the other was a man in his 70’s from the Edmonton zone.

There are also 28 new cases across the province, putting the total at 1,451.

None are in Wood Buffalo, keeping it at six across the RMWB – four in Fort McMurray and two in the rural area.

Three people in Fort McMurray have recovered from the virus, while 592 individuals across the province are no longer sick.

The north zone, which includes the region, now has 97 cases.

Around 192 cases are suspected of being community-acquired.
