Jamie Doyle is being named the permanent Chief Administrative Officer for the RMWB.
After two weeks on the job, Wood Buffalo council has voted to remove the interim from his title.
He took on the role after Annette Antoniak resigned so she could be with her family in Penticton, British Columbia.
“As a long-term and dedicated RMWB employee and resident of Wood Buffalo, Jamie has a deep understanding of our region, and the unique challenges and opportunities we face,” said Mayor Don Scott, in a release.
“Jamie has done an outstanding job as interim CAO during these unprecedented times. and I have full confidence in his ability as a leader.”
Doyle had served as Deputy CAO for the previous two-years. He also was the Director of the RMWB’s Planning and Development Department during the start of the recovery from the Horse River wildfire.
“I am confident in the staff and resources we have to respond to the challenges of today, and I look forward to continuing the important work of our Council,” added Doyle.
