Third COVID-19 Case in Fort McMurray, Provincial Total at 486

There are now three cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Thursday 67 new cases across the province.

This brings Alberta’s total to 486.

There’s no more information on this case or the second. The first case was reported in Fort McMurray last week.

There are now 26 confirmed cases in the north zone, which includes the RMWB.

The other cases are in High Prairie, Slave Lake, Barrhead, Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Grande Prairie, Jasper, Hinton, Westlock, Peace River, and Valleyview.

The Calgary zone continues to be the hardest hit at 300, followed by the Edmonton zone at 111.

Meanwhile, 27 individuals who’ve contracted the virus have recovered.
