A Fort McMurray Oil Baron is being named one of the AJHL’s top rookies.

Defenseman Kabore Dunn is one of two blueliners chosen for the North Division All-Rookie Team.

Also on the team is goaltender Eric Ward with the Drayton Valley Thunder, defenseman Ethan Edwards from the Spruce Grove Saints, forward Graham Gamache with the Saints, forward Thomas Kramer with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, and forward Ty Mueller with the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

In his one and only season with the MOB, Dunn scored 10 goals and added 20 assists for 30 points in 55 games.

Back in January, he committed to joining the University of Maine in the NCAA.

Dunn has also gained interest from NHL scouts ahead of the 2020 NHL Draft. He’s projected to be chosen between the fourth and sixth rounds.
