Province Experiencing 33 New COVID-19 Cases

Thirty-three new cases of COVID-19 are popping up across Alberta.

The provincial government announced on Sunday the new cases which brings the province’s total to 259.

In the north zone, which includes the RMWB, there are 18 cases. One has been confirmed in Fort McMurray, believed to be an employee at Maxx Dental.

The other cases are in High Prairie, Slave Lake, Barrhead, Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Grande Prairie, and Jasper.

The Calgary zone continues to be hit the hardest with 164 cases, while the Edmonton zone has 60 cases.

Meanwhile, 18 who’ve contracted the coronavirus are being treated in the hospital. Seven are in the intensive care unit.

Three people have also recovered.
