Wood Buffalo Council Meetings Continuing On Schedule

Wood Buffalo Council meetings may look a little different moving forward.

Mayor Don Scott announced on Wednesday that the meetings would continue to be open for public participation, however, it may have to happen remotely due to social distancing requirements over concerns with COVID-19.

Scott says they are also working on a solution for Councillors to be able to phone in as well, so they are able to comply with social distancing requirements.

The next council meeting is scheduled for March 24 starting at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, all council-appointed board and committee meetings have postponed indefinitely.
