RCMP Arrest Four Over Two Unconnected Armed Robberies in Fort McMurray

Wood Buffalo RCMP have arrested four individuals after two unconnected robberies over the weekend.

On March 14, around 7:45 p.m., police were called to Thickwood Boulevard after reports of an armed robbery.

As a result, 23-year-old Zakariya Abdullahi, 22-year-old Bilal Ahmed, and 22-year-old Salah Tahlil were arrested and charged with armed robbery and disguise with intent to commit robbery.

The Mounties also linked Abdullahi and Ahmed to two other robberies, charging them with two more counts of robbery and intent to commit to robbery.

Meanwhile, the police were called to the intersection of Morrison Street and Franklin Avenue on March 15 around 3:30 p.m. after reports of another armed robbery.

A 26-year-old woman from Fort McMurray was arrested and has since been charged with armed robbery and theft of a car.
