Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Sophie recently started experiencing flu-like symptoms after coming back from a speaking event in the United Kingdom.

After getting advice from their doctor, the pair decided to isolate themselves as they waited for results to see whether see had the illness.

Trudeau says Sophie’s symptoms are mild and she is currently in quarantine.

He adds he plans on speaking with the country’s Premiers and Indigenous Leaders to discuss potential measures to combat the spread of the virus and its impact on the economy.
