Hub Family Resource Centre Struggling To Find Funds

After closing their downtown location, the Hub Family Resource Centre is still facing some funding concerns.

The Hub announced on Wednesday that though they’ve made multiple cuts and closed one location they’re still facing an uncertain future.

They’ve been working to find places to cut costs by reducing staff and programs but they are still struggling financially.

The centre, which has been operating in the region since 2003, says they will exhaust every option to continue to serve the RMWB.

Their Timberlea location will continue to offer drop in play, family support, early learning programs and safe visitation and exchange.

The Hub notes they are still receiving funding from The United Way, the RMWB, Suncor Energy, and Wood Buffalo Community Foundation.

You can donate to the Hub on their website.
