RCMP Looking For Suspect After Two Armed Robberies

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating two armed robberies in downtown Fort McMurray.

On February 28, the Mounties were called to the intersection of Morrison Street and Franklin Avenue.

Around 5:30 p.m., a man entered a business and attempted to rob the place.

Approximately 20 minutes later, another business was robbed with several items being stolen.

The police believe the same suspect is responsible for both incidents.

The man is described as dark-skinned, medium build, in his 20’s or 30’s, and between 5’7” and 5’10”.

He was seen wearing a dark jacket while carrying a Sobey’s reusable grocery bag.
