Municipality Releases Report On Downtown Revitalization

The RMWB is unveiled its report highlighting ideas for downtown revitalization.

On Friday, the municipality released its report, which summarizes ideas, thoughts, input and feedback provided by participants during their public engagement campaign held last year.

Overall, there were 24 engagements sessions, with over 100 one-on-one meetings taking place with stakeholders, organizations and individuals.

These sessions were also supported by a team of volunteer community ambassadors.

The municipality says information from participants is being used to guide recommendations for next steps including identification of early actions for revitalization.

The RMWB is also thanking all residents and volunteers who took time to participate both in-person and online.

The report is being shared with both the Wood Buffalo Downtown Revitalization Advisory Committee and the Waterfront Advisory Committee for their consideration in developing recommendations.

Both committees are made up of community members representing a cross-section of sectors.

More information on the report can be found on the RMWB’s website.
