A Fort McMurray Oil Baron is committing to the University of Maine in the NCAA.
The team announced Friday that 6’2″ defenseman Kabore Dunn is heading to play for the University of Maine Black Bears – beginning in Fall 2020.
Dunn has been a bright spot in what’s been a down year for the Barons, who sit 7th in their division with a record of 15-24-2
The 18-year-old leads all MOB defenseman wi.th 6 goals and 16 assists through the campaign – his first with the Barons.
Dunn is eligible for the 2020 NHL draft and is projected to be a 4th-to-6th round pick.
He intends to pursue a business degree at Maine.
