Eight Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested in Fort McMurray

Eight suspected drug dealers have been arrested in Fort McMurray following multiple short-term investigations.

ALERT’s Fort McMurray organized crime team began the investigations in late October.

Over the course of four days, they arrested the eight individuals and seized more than $4,500 worth of drugs and cash.

The drugs included methamphetamines, cocaine, and fentanyl.

As a result, Shelly Richards, 29; Kylar Flett, 24; Cody Decoine, 27; Chas Marcel, 21; Shandon Simpson-Whiteknife, 27; Dakota Donald, 24; Danielle Wilson, 35; and Jennifer Lacorde, 37, face a total of 17 drug related charges.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for 55-year-old Kenneth Chapdelaine who is wanted on one count of drug trafficking.

“Undertaking this type of operation alongside our law enforcement partners demonstrates ALERT’s commitment to keeping the community of Fort McMurray safe,” said Insp. Sean Boser, ALERT Regional Teams, in a release.
