51-Year-Old Woman Killed After Being Hit By Bus

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating a collision that killed a 51-year-old woman.

On December 5, around 7:10 p.m., the Mounties were called to the intersection of Confederation Way and Brett Drive after receiving reports of a pedestrian being struck by a bus.

The male driver was travelling westbound on Confederation Way and made a left turn onto the side street where he hit the woman.

The driver and the bus passengers were not injured.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name will not be released by the police.

The RCMP continue to investigate the collision.
