Police On The Lookout For Downtown Robbery Suspect

Police are asking for assistance in identifying a man involved in a robbery earlier this month.

Wood Buffalo RCMP say the incident took place on November 18, at a business near the corner of Franklin Avenue and Riedel Street, downtown Fort McMurray.

Around 9:30 p.m., the man reportedly entered the establishment brandishing what appeared to be a purple knife and stole over $200 worth of goods – before fleeing the scene.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as Caucasian and was wearing dark pants, black and white sneakers, a dark jacket and a light sweater under-jacket.
