‘Toys For Tickets’ Program Back For Fourth Year

Your misery in getting a parking ticket could be the difference in ensuring some families have a good holidays this year.

The municipality is bringing back their ‘Toy for Tickets’ program for a fourth straight year.

People who receive a ticket from December 1 – 15 will be able to pay it off with toys.

The toys must be knew, in original packaging with receipts.

If the toy’s value is less than the ticket, gift cards will be accepted for the difference.

People who haven’t received a ticket can also donate to the program.

All the toys will be donated to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family program, which distributes holiday hampers to local families in need.

Drivers can pay their fines at the South Policing Facility on Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. until December 20.
