Fort McMurray Man Charged With Murder in Death of 78-Year-Old Woman

A 23-year-old Fort McMurray man is being charged for the death of a woman in Central Alberta.

On November 8, RCMP found 78-year-old Roslyn Nelson dead in her residence near the community of Armena.

The Mounties arrested Nicolas Dagenais a day later after investigating Nelson’s death.

He’s since been charged with murder, however, it’s not known to what degree.

No other suspects are being sought out by RCMP.

Dagenais is currently in custody and is set to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on November 26, 2019 via CCTV.

No other information is being shared at this time.
