Wood Buffalo Volunteer Centre Re-Launching

FuseSocial is bringing back their Wood Buffalo Volunteer Centre.

In partnership with the Northern Lights Health Foundation and the Wood Buffalo Food Bank, the program looks to help organizations recruit, retain, and reward skilled volunteers.

“Utilizing this program will enable organizations such as ours to find volunteers to fill certain roles, as well as give volunteers the ability to find organizations that fit with their values,” said Dan Edwards, Executive Director of Wood Buffalo Food Bank.

“This program is a great way for local agencies to collaborate and provide a space for volunteers to get involved with ease.”

A newly designed WBVolunteers website and app will also help match non-profits with the most appropriate volunteer for them.

Our partnership with WBVolunteers gives us access to a platform that is open to everyone in our region and keeps volunteer data secure,” added Cindy Amerongen, NLHF Executive Director.

“In addition, volunteer hours are more easily recorded and accumulated allowing people to support a variety of agencies and manage their volunteer time.”
