RMWB Calling All Snow Angels

The RMWB is seeking Snow Angels for the winter season.

The municipality is looking for dedicated, outgoing and caring members of the community to help shovel walkways and driveways of seniors in our community.

Social Program Advisor with Neighbourhood and Community Development Melissa Williams says it may seem like a small thing, but this program has huge impacts.

“Helping out by shovelling a senior’s driveway means they can more safely get out of the house, are less isolated, and feel more valued in our community.”

Shovels and ice scrapers will be donated by the RMWB – and delivered to volunteers by municipal staff.

The Snow Angels Program began as a pilot in 2009, helping nine homes – and has grown to help more than 100 homes.
