YMM Airport Receives International Award For Customer Service

The Fort McMurray International Airport is being named one of Canada’s best for customer service.

They received the Airport Service Quality Award earlier this month at the Airports Council International World Customer Experience Global Summit in Bali, Indonesia.

The airport was chosen back in March.

This award recognizes the best airport in Canada that serves under two million passengers annually.

“The ASQ Awards represent the highest possible customer experience accolade for airport operators around the world,” said Angela Gittens, ACI World Director General, in a release.

“In an increasingly competitive environment, these airports have recognized that delivering stellar customer experience is an important business tool.”

The Toronto Pearson International Airport and the Ottawa International Airport were the only other Canadian airports to receive an award.

President and CEO of the Airport Authority RJ Steenstra also got the chance to speak at the conference in front of representatives from different airports across the world.

The YMM airport was the only Canadian airport given this opportunity.

Meanwhile, the YMM Airport was also recently ranked third in Canada for on-time performance.
